Vehicle Washing

The high costs of using and disposing of water oblige vehicle wash systems to rely increasingly on recycled water.  Even after filtration this will contain chemicals in solution and is likely to carry particles of grit and other contaminants.  Pumping it is potentially damaging for pumps with seals.

Operating at pressures above 40 bar, even using clean water, may cause packings and seals of piston pumps to be changed every 6 months. Hydra-Cell’s seal-less design means that this maintenance is not needed.

Why Hydra-Cell?
Hydra-Cell pumps are seal-less. No seals, no seal wear – No leaks. No loss of performance. No frequent repairs. Less downtime. Long-term reliability, with minimal routine maintenance and low repair costs.

Hydra-Cell pumps can handle solids up to 1mm, or more. They can be pumped without fine filtration. System costs are reduced and maintenance is simplified.

Most pumps in the Hydra-Cell range can operate at any pressure from <1 bar up to at least 70 bar. Some models up to 170 bar.

Flow is steady, with little pulsation.

Hydra-Cell pumps can run dry without damage. Innovative Kel-Cell technology protects diaphragms even in abnormal system conditions.

Sealed pumps may be vulnerable in a low pressure system.  In cleaning systems working at higher pressures (e.g. above about 20 bar) the risks of rapid seal wear, loss of performance and premature pump failure increase.

Hydra-Cell seal-less pumps are used in vehicle cleaning systems not only for their high pressure capability, but because of their simple build, low maintenance and reliability.  They tolerate chemicals and abrasive particles (up to1mm or more) without needing fine filtration.  They are also energy efficient – a big factor in their exceptionally low operating costs.

Energy savings. Compact and highly efficient (80-85%), a Hydra-Cell pump can be fitted with a smaller motor than would be required by much bigger pumps for equivalent flows and pressures
