Metering and Dosing

Meeting the performance criteria of API675, the Hydra-Cell pump offers linear, repeatable, accurate steady flow.

The compact Hydra-Cell gives the advantages of large traditional hydraulic diaphragm pumps, but at a fraction of the initial cost, spare parts costs and energy costs.

For example, at a given flow and pressure, a traditional pump with a 15kW motor can be replaced with a Hydra-Cell pump with 5kW.

Why Hydra-Cell?
Hydra-Cell’s unique multiple diaphragm head design means that:

  1. Pulsation dampers may not be required. See graph comparing pulsation of a typical hydraulic diaphragm metering pump with that of the Hydra-Cell pump.
  2. For equivalent flow/pressure performance, the physical size of a Hydra-Cell pump is very much smaller than that of the more massively constructed typical traditional metering pump. (See comparison.) The Hydra-Cell’s compact design not only gives it a smaller footprint, but also reduces life-cycle costs.

Flow rate is near constant regardless of variations in system pressure.

Hydra-Cell’s unique check valve design allows it to handle particles, including slurries and any crystals which may form in the liquid.

Meets and exceeds the perfomance characteristics of API 675.

  1. Steady state accuracy +/- 1%
  2. Repeatability +/- 3%
  3. Linearity +/- 3%

Wide choice of liquid end materials giving a cost effective solution.

Flow rate is varied by speed control offering turndown ratios of 10 to 1 or better
